Greetings from the “frosty” north!

Sara here! Just wanted to drop in and say how excited I am about this season! Jared and I have both been working the farm full time essentially.  Jared hasn’t toured since last season and has been working part time in seattle, and also working with me for a landscaping company in nearby Bainbridge Island. We’ve been both trying to blend our farm work styles (with, admittedly, a little conflict) but so far I feel that we are on track (although, feeling a bit behind…). We’ve been seeding like mad, and hope to spend the next few weeks transplanting and putting up our electric fencing at both of our farming properties.  So far this season we’ve got lettuce, turnip greens, mache, endive, turnips, parsnips, spinach, bok choi, tatsoi, arugula, broccoli raab, broccoli, beets, onions, cauliflower, leeks, peas, kale, chives, dill, summer squash, cabbage, artichokes, cilantro, chard, tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, eggplant, & ground cherries seeded, we’ve also rolled out our CSA info and are getting people signed up, slowly but surely The market starts in less than a month and I’m really hoping to have some veggies to add to the starts at that first market!
