harvest time

Hey there web-o-sphere, farmer Dusty here with an update from Orleans.

This week I finally feel like the abundance is ON, we got 100 pounds of tomatoes today, 25 pounds of tomatillos, many onions, lots of flowers, and blackberries galore.

I will get back to you again soon, but for now time is tight.  Until next time I will keep on farming.

Hi there farmer Dustin! Oooh, good looking tomatoes, tomatillos and zinnias!!
Wish we were there to sample them and eat BLT’s with you…
We had such a great time at the farm and miss being there (but NOT the mosquitoes!). We’re having a particularly lousy summer here in Frisco, the sun almost never shows its grin. Your basil made a mean pesto, packed with flavor.
The basil from the Alemany farmer’s market pales in comparison.
Thanks again for all the bunches.
Sending our love & appreciation: Christine & Matt
ps: can you send your mailing address
pps: warm greetings to Marcy, Susan & John!

Three farms are starting from scratch.

They are turning the dirt and hoping to be successful enough to turn a profit, and to become a valuable part of their communities as suppliers of organically grown food.

Peaceful Valley is giving them a head start by offering them special pricing as part of this Freshman Farmer program.
